Dental Assistant

Preferred Search Group is partnering with a privately owned dental practice to find a compassionate and motivated Dental Assistant to join their growing team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for treatment
  • Take and review medical histories and vital signs as needed
  • Expose dental radiographs (state certification required)
  • Take and pour dental impressions
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA guidelines
  • Turn over operatories efficiently between patients
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies
  • Educate patients on treatment and post-operative care
  • Accurately document patient information using practice software

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:45 AM – 6:30 PM
  • One Saturday per month
  • Primary location: Miami Springs
  • Must be willing to travel to the Plantation office when needed

Software Experience

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Eaglesoft
  • Pearl
  • iTero
  • Invisalign
  • Carestream CT

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred
  • Current radiology certification
  • Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to being a team player
