About LG NOVA

LG NOVA, LG’s North America Innovation Center, is the company’s venture incubation arm based in Silicon Valley. Our mandate is to identify transformative growth opportunities and launch new ventures that shape the future of LG. We partner with startups, enterprises, and public institutions to co-create the next generation of impactful businesses.

We’re seeking an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the incubation of a new AI native venture within LG NOVA in underexplored or high-friction domains outside Health and Cleantech. This is a founder-track role focused on developing, validating, and launching a scalable business—culminating in a spin-out backed by our internal venture fund.

Founding CEO

We are looking for a founding CEO to build a category-defining company at the intersection of AI, enterprise software, and business performance.

This is a true day-zero role. You will define the product thesis, secure the first cohort of design partners, hire the founding team, raise the seed round, and build the commercial and technical foundation for the business.

The right person operates comfortably across product, go-to-market, and company building. You understand how enterprises adopt new technologies, how to navigate complex buying processes, and how to translate emerging technical capabilities into clear business value.

You are equally credible with technical and business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the company strategy and category position
Establish a clear point of view on the problem space and position the company as a category leader
  • Own the end-to-end build of the business
From first principles through early traction, including product direction, GTM, and initial revenue
  • Secure early design partners and customers
Build conviction through real-world deployments and translate learnings into product direction
  • Develop and execute a focused go-to-market strategy
Combine founder-led sales, partnerships, and scalable channels to drive early adoption
  • Guide product evolution from early solution to scalable platform
Balance speed, customer needs, and long-term differentiation
  • Raise external capital and manage investor relationships
Lead fundraising efforts and communicate a compelling, evidence-backed narrative
  • Build and lead a high-performing founding team
Attract top talent and establish a strong execution culture from the outset
  • Drive core business fundamentals
Focus on early revenue, customer retention, and scalable unit economics

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven builder mindset
Experience operating in zero‑to‑one or highly ambiguous environments, ideally taking AI‑native products from concept through early market validation.
  • AI‑native product and business leadership
Demonstrated experience building AI‑first products, including shaping product vision, business models, and defensible differentiation rooted in AI capabilities rather than incremental feature layers.
  • Strong technical foundation in AI systems
Technical expertise with modern AI tools and platforms, including applied AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and integration of software and (where relevant) hardware systems. Comfortable engaging deeply with engineers, architects, and technical customers to guide technical direction.
  • Product + commercial instincts
Ability to translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear customer value propositions, enterprise‑ready solutions, and scalable revenue opportunities.
  • Enterprise AI go‑to‑market experience
Understanding of how AI solutions are evaluated, piloted, purchased, and scaled within enterprise environments, including navigating longer sales cycles, security/compliance considerations, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Track record of early‑stage traction
Demonstrated ability to find product‑market fit for technically complex products and build a repeatable sales or partnership motion.
  • Ecosystem credibility and network
A strong network across AI stakeholders—such as technical talent, enterprise buyers, partners, and potential design customers—with the ability to activate those relationships to accelerate early traction.
  • Entrepreneurial drive
Bias toward action, resilience, and comfort with high‑variance outcomes inherent in
