Client Description
- Patient: A pleasant woman with her ADLs and household tasks following arm injuries and anticipated surgery. Her daughter is highly involved in her care, and your attentive approach will be essential to ensuring her soft-spoken needs are fully addressed.
- Clinical Needs: ADL assistance
- Schedule: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM // Every Day
🏡 About the Role
Centria caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in a private home setting, supporting their unique care needs.
💵 Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience and case needs 🕒 Flexible schedules and weekly pay
✅ Responsibilities
- Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
- Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
- Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
- Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
- Document and report changes in client condition promptly
- Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
- Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
- Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
- Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
📝 Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
- Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
- Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
- Comfortable working in a private home setting
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
