🏡 About the Role
Centria caregivers provide essential in-home support to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent. You’ll work one-on-one with clients in a private home setting, supporting their unique care needs.
✅ Responsibilities
- Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
- Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
- Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
- Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
- Document and report changes in client condition promptly
- Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
- Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
- Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
- Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
📝 Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, or equivalent experience in home care preferred
- Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
- Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
- Comfortable working in a private home setting
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
- Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise
