The role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Credentialing Specialist to join our credentialing team. In this role, you'll verify healthcare provider credentials in a high-volume environment where both speed and accuracy matter - work that directly impacts compliance, mitigates risk, and ensures qualified professionals can begin providing care without delay. This is a production-driven role with clear, transparent performance metrics, so you'll always know exactly where you stand and how you're succeeding. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team in a growing tech company, with plenty of opportunities to learn and take on new challenges.

Where you’ll work

This is a full-time, hybrid role based at our Irving, Texas, head office. Once fully trained, you’ll be in the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), and work remotely the other two days. Typical hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate personal needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and process a high volume of credential verifications - around 2,500 per month once fully ramped - while maintaining a minimum 90% accuracy rate.

  • Carefully review applications, primary source verifications, licenses, and certifications to ensure all data meets internal and regulatory standards.

  • Organize your daily workflow independently to balance speed and precision, avoiding bottlenecks in onboarding and re-credentialing cycles.

  • Independently manage your own credentialing queue while collaborating with the broader team to share best practices.

  • Validate credentials and licenses to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Partner with Credentialing Leads to process background checks and other verification tasks.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for all credentialing activities.

  • Report potential roadblocks, barriers, or other issues to leadership proactively.

  • Support special projects and initiatives within the credentialing team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

What you'll need

  • Experience in credentialing, compliance, or a similar high-volume, detail-oriented role - we care more about your accuracy and work ethic than the exact industry.

  • Proven ability to balance high-speed output with strong attention to detail.

  • Exceptional time management skills - you can self-start, prioritize independently, and show us how you organize your day.

  • Comfortable working toward steady production metrics in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative mindset - you thrive in a team setting but are equally productive working solo.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with any of these tools is a plus - Google Workspace, macOS, Salesforce, or Slack - but we are happy to train the right person.

Perks of working for ShiftKey

  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment where all voices are valued.

  • Hybrid-friendly office spaces designed to be fun and engaging.

  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.

  • Benefits begin on your first day.

  • Generous PTO and company-paid holidays, including flexible floating holidays.

  • 100% 401(k) employer match up to 6%.

  • Paid parental leave.

  • Wellness support, including access to mental health resources.
